Forest restoration using Săng lẻ (Lagersiroemia Calyculata Kurz)
In forest restoration, Săng lẻ is a native foundation species. Its steady growth, deep root system, and high adaptability allow it to rebuild forest structure, stabilize soils, and restore ecological functions in degraded landscapes. As forests mature, Săng lẻ becomes a long-term CO₂ storage species, supporting climate mitigation and ecosystem resilience. Its durable timber, traditionally used in house construction, reflects the economic value of responsibly managed forests.
