Symposium - Carbon Credit Supply chain, Added Values and Watershed Co-Governance Strategy
- The symposium “Carbon Credit Supply Chains, Added Values and Watershed Co-Governance Strategy – From Commitment to Action (Net Zero 2050)” is convened as Vietnam transitions from policy development to operationalising its carbon market in line with its Net Zero 2050 commitment. This document synthesises key policy discussions structured around three pillars: carbon credit supply chains, value creation and distribution, and watershed-based co-governance. It highlights institutional gaps, coordination challenges across governance, MRV systems and market mechanisms, and the roles of actors throughout the value chains. Building on these insights, the document outlines policy directions to strengthen system integration, standardise processes and promote inclusive participation. These efforts are critical to improving system efficiency and positioning Vietnam to access higher-integrity carbon market segments.
